AIMing For Him

Mission Term, A New Frontier

Well I've been back for almost a month now and things have gone from confusing, frustrating, boring and exciting. When I first got back to Lubbock we started a new term promptly called, "Mission Term," and began Mission Term with a very interesting and somewhat confusing orientation in which all the staff and coordinators spoke different languages and we had to try and get "Mission Term VISAS," and then with the help of my team we did a amazing race around Lubbock in which we couldn't use vehicles so we used a taxi to go around town. Here are some good picture we took of our whole team:
I also received my grades for last semester, They are:
Romans - 92
Spiritual Nurturing - 95
Acts - 85
New Testament Church - 82

We began new classes for Mission Term like Mission Evangelism, Mission Preparation, Team Building and 1 & 2 Timothy which are all classes that are going to help us be more effective on the mission field and also help to grow our team. We also started Team Dynamics on Monday nights in which we get together as a Team and with our assistants that are helping our team, Chris and Stacey, and go over various aspects that were discussed in the Team Building class or other activities that help us bond and understand each other better as a team. I am also going to a new Area Church on Sundays in Clovis, New Mexico in which Chris and Stacey are the assistants that work with that church and that is why they are the ones helping us with Team Dynamics.

This past weekend we had something called Camp Adventure, which is where teens or college age people come to AIM and spend either a weekend, which was this is Camp Adventure, or a week, which is the next Camp Adventure, and get to know us that are already in AIM. We also have guest speakers that come in and have devos and lessons for us, we do community service work and just try to promote AIM as much as we can so that hopefully they will get interested in AIM and want to come to the program. On our weekend one that we just had, a guy named Tyler, who is from the Area Church that my team is going to, got baptized. It was so awesome to see that because he told me and others on my team that he had been going to church with his grandma for awhile now and had just never thought really about getting baptized.

In final news, I will be going to Mexico City this Thursday and spending the whole week there working with different churches in Mexico City, passing out many flyers to small groups and services, and also getting to explore the massive city that has one of the highest populations of any city in the world. I will be sure to bring back loads of pictures and hopefully some exciting adventures from my trip.

As always, I want to thank all of you who are supporting me, whether it be financial or through prayer. I pray for each one of you daily, and only ask that you can continue to help me in any way that you can.

In Him,
Zachary W.
